Josh Sowin over at Fire & Knowledge has had this post up for a little while and I wanted to give it some attention.

One of the ways in which the damned will be confounded is that they will see themselves condemned by their own reason, by which they claimed to condemn the Christian religion.
—Blaise Pascal, Pensées, in Christianity for Modern Pagans by Peter Kreeft, p. 238

I am not quite sure why Josh was driven to post this particular thought of Pascal, but in light of the recent and ongoing controversy here in Moscow I found it quite interesting. For those of you who are not familiar with Pascal’s Pensees, you must get yourself a copy. It is one of my favorite books ever.
